“GiRLS UNITe!” inspires girls in low-income, high-risk living situations to define and meet their goals through volunteer leadership projects, individual mentoring, guest speakers and educational field trips. They learn about the cultural and socioeconomic diversity in their community, participate in self-esteem building activities and learn about healthy relationships from positive female role models. By providing these opportunities, “Girls Unite!” empowers young girls to take pride in their unique abilities and practice civic responsibility in the community.
