Drew is the Maslow Project mentor within Medford school district 549c: Providing intensive mentoring to homeless and High-risk youth to improve educational stability, peer relationships, and positive youth development. Drew has had a varied experiential background working with kids around the world with many different ethnic groups.
He has spent time working with gang members from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, Turkey, Somalia, Afghanistan and Egypt coordinating street peace over-seas. He was able to avert bloodshed, and takes those experiences with him. Due to the lack of an overall positive role model in today’s society, he really believes in what he does and continues to “pump the positive”. He also is part of the community outreach team.
