Reishelle Hoeschen grew up in the Willamette Valley of Oregon where she graduated from Gladstone High School. After graduation, she moved to San Antonio, Texas and worked with City Year AmeriCorps as a tutor and advocate for high school students. Reishelle graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College with a Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies with a concentration in Family Studies and a minor in Political Science. While in school, she worked as an advocate for reproductive justice and education on campus. Reishelle immediately put her degree to work as a Family and Child Advocate with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and a Sexual Assault Call-Out Advocate in Southern Minnesota before moving to Ashland, Oregon.
One day Reishelle hopes to return to Denmark, where she once lived, to continue her studies and work in human trafficking prevention. Her dreams also include touring the world art museums, backpacking on every continent, finding the perfect cup of coffee.
